This is a black gloss with purple shimmer that can be seen under sunlight. The light "plays" with the shimmer and you might not see the purple shine at certain angles, but once the light shines on your lips you will be able to see purple shimmer. Might give off blueish purple as well at certain light.HOWEVER, WE DID NOTICE THAT THE PHOTOS OF THIS GLOSS LOOK COMPLETELY BLUE ON SOME MONITORS WITHOUT A HINT OF PURPLE, SO PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE SHIMMERS ARE ACTUALLY PURPLE. This is a mica-based, shimmery gloss and not a dye or stain. You may wear it alone (as seen on photos above), or apply over your favorite lipstick. You can achieve a great look if you apply once, and reapply in a minute or two, or blot between layers, with the last layer applied thicker. Make sure not to rub the gloss onto your lips, but to layer the gloss evenly onto your lips.
We do not use any lip liners when taking photos, but we do recommend wearing them with glosses.
The expiration date for all of our lip glosses is 6 months from purchase date. Keeping them in a dry, dark, cool place may extend the shelf life.
Do not apply directly with the tube (to prevent contact with your lips, and therefore bacteria in the gloss), but try to use your finger to spread on your lips (this may extend the shelf life as well).
Do not rub on to lips, but try to layer the gloss to achieve the desired look.
